Aleksandar Kolarov Is Expected To Retire From Football This Month, Italian Media Report | OneFootball

Inter defender Aleksandar Kolarov looks set to retire from playing football this month rather than waiting until June, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere della Sera today, the Serbian veteran has not featured much at all for Inter under Simone Inzaghi and it was already known that he would be retiring come the end of the season.

Given he is not involved with the squad very often and is widely expected to move into a coaching role at the club, he is taking the decision to retire now instead.

This could prompt Inter to enter the market towards the end of January in order to bring in a player that can act as a backup to Ivan Perisic who currently plays almost every game for the club.

Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic appears to be the most likely candidate to be signed.
