Alcoyano coach Vicente Parras says their stunning Copa del Rey shock against Real Madrid was thoroughly deserved.
The minnows came back from a goal down and a man less to win 2-1 in extra-time.
Parras declared, "What we have done today ... is a victory for all. From the players, from the coaching staff… We deserve it. There was a small chance and we have taken the game where we wanted. We have completely disabled them. José Juan teaches us every day. He is a reference for us.
"We arrived with a clear idea of promoting the team and the kids will not forget this day. Alcoyano's morality is what we have seen. They saw us out and we came back with one less player."
Goalkeeper hero Jose Juan added: "I have no words. I am excited. We have suffered a lot.
"We have to get everyone out, but we had a great game.
"Now we have to focus on our game against Orihuela. We knew that they came with everything. It's time to enjoy because it happens rarely in life."
