Inter Milan midfielder Kristjan Asllani is a doubt for Sunday’s Serie A clash with Roma after picking up a knock in training.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that tomorrow’s training session will be decisive for determining whether the Albanian will be available for the match.
Inter are just a couple of days away from their return to Serie A action after the international break.
The Nerazzurri travel to the Italian capital to take on Roma on Sunday evening.
Inter will already be without one midfielder for the match, in the form of Piotr Zielinski. Medical tests yesterday confirmed that the Polish international had picked up a thigh strain during the break.
But it could be two injuries in midfield for Inter, according to Sky.
Asllani returned to Inter training a couple of days ago after being away with the Albanian national team during the break.
According to Sky, however, Asllani has suffered a slight knock in training.
The broadcaster report that the 22-year-old picked up the problem towards the end of today’s session.
It does not appear to be a serious injury for Asllani. However, it may well be enough to prevent him from featuring in Sunday’s match.
As of yet, Asllani’s status for the match against Roma is uncertain.
However, tomorrow’s training session will be decisive in determining that.
If the former Empoli midfielder is able to participate in a full training session with the rest of his teammates as normal, then there is no reason to think that he will not be available against the Giallorossi.
However, if Asllani is not able to train normally tomorrow, he will not be part of the Inter squad that travels to Rome.
