Alavés captain Rubén Duarte to miss Osasuna clash | OneFootball

Deportivo Alavés are set to be without a key member of the club’s backline for their upcoming meeting with Osasuna.

This comes amid confirmation that captain Rubén Duarte will be unavailable for selection to head coach Luis García on Monday night.

Alavés have this evening made the trip to Pamplona, eyeing a return to winning ways at the expense of the aforementioned Osasuna.

The Glorioso are fresh off a trio of successive draws, in the knowledge that a long-awaited victory would see them close to within a point of their upcoming hosts in the La Liga table.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, however, such efforts on the part of Alavés will come sans the contributions of captain and leader Rubén Duarte.

Stopper Duarte, for his part, is suffering with a bout of gastroenteritis, and failed to recover in time to join his teammates on the bus bound for the Navarrese capital.

Long-term absentee Aleksandar Sedlar, too, remains unavailable for selection to boss García.
