Liverpool are unlikely to make anymore signings this summer, according to The Independent’s Carl Markham.

Liverpool have only made one signing so far this summer. Back in May, Liverpool signed centre-back Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig for a transfer fee of £36 million.

Going by Markham’s update, Konate could be Liverpool’s only signing of the summer.

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

We find the aforementioned update from Markham to be quite alarming. To keep a squad fresh, you need to bring in new players.

There is no denying that Liverpool are a good side these days. The Reds have won four major trophies since 2019.

But, we want to see Jurgen Klopp’s side build on what they have already achieved.

It is not easy to build a squad that is capable of winning a Premier League title. Before 2020, the Reds had not won a league title for 30 years.

Therefore, seeing as Liverpool are a good side these days, we want the club to sign a few players to make the team even better.
