Real Madrid clashed heads with Barcelona at the Nou Camp earlier today as they hoped to grind out all three points on their travels. Los Blancos made a solid start to the game and managed to score the opener in the 32nd minute when David Alaba found the back of the Barca net with a powerful strike. The Madrid giants went into the half-time break with a narrow 1-0 lead.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men defended well in the second half and killed the game off in the 93rd minute when Lucas Vazquez scored before Sergio Aguero netted a consolation goal in the dying embers of the game. The Clasico finished with Los Blancos securing a narrow 2-1 victory away at Catalonia.

Let’s take a look at how each Real Madrid player performed during the clash against the Catalans.

GK: Thibaut Courtois – 6/10

The Belgian custodian made just one save in the game but will be disappointed after losing his clean sheet right at the death.

RB: Lucas Vazquez – 7/10

Vazquez was defensively solid and was quite lively in the Catalans half. He doubled the Madrid outfit’s advantage in injury-time which proved essential towards his team winning the game.

CB: Eder Militao – 6/10

The Brazilian centre-back cleared his lines when needed and pulled off one important interception during the game.

CB: David Alaba – 7.5/10

Alaba kept the Barca attackers quiet for most of the game and gave his side the lead midway through the first half.
