According to Foot Mercato, Christophe Galtier’s departure from Paris Saint-Germain is imminent, with Al-Shabab expressing significant interest in the French coach. Santi Aouna and Hanif Ben Berkane report that contact has been made with Galtier, and that the Suadi Arabian side are interested in the Frenchman.
Rumors of potential destinations for Galtier had been swirling in recent weeks, with Napoli initially considered a likely option. However, the Italian club ultimately chose Rudi Garcia as their new coach, leaving Galtier’s future uncertain. Marseille and West Ham were also mentioned as potential landing spots, but those avenues closed quickly. Galtier would be leaving PSG following a season under pressure, albeit with a Ligue 1 win.
Negotiations between Al Shabab and the former Lille and Nice manager are reportedly progressing positively. Al Shabab, who finished fourth in the Saudi Pro League this season, is seeking a new coach to lead their squad, which includes former PSG midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak and former Sevilla midfielder Éver Banega.
