Al Nassr have emerged as serious contenders for the signature of David Hancko, with the Saudi Pro League club reportedly submitting a significant bid for the Feyenoord defender. The 27-year-old Slovakian has been a mainstay for the Rotterdam side, but the mounting interest from Al Nassr has sparked considerable discussion as the summer transfer window gathers momentum.

Sources close to the negotiations indicate that Feyenoord are seeking a fee in the region of €35 million for Hancko, while Al Nassr's offer is understood to be just below that mark at €32 million. Given Hancko's recent contract extension, which ties him to Feyenoord until the summer of 2028, the Dutch club is in no rush to sell and are leveraging their strong position in talks. For Hancko, the opportunity to secure a lucrative contract in the Saudi Pro League appears to be a factor under consideration, especially as he has acknowledged the interest coming from Al Nassr directly.

This past season, Hancko was a central figure for Feyenoord. He started all 32 of his Eredivisie appearances, contributing three goals and an assist, and played a total of 47 matches across all competitions, including 12 starts in the Champions League as Feyenoord reached the last 16. His performances have not gone unnoticed on the international stage either, with 367 minutes over four matches at UEFA EURO 2024, featuring six tackles and 26 ball recoveries.

The potential move would represent a significant addition for Al Nassr, a club looking to close the gap on Al Ittihad after a less competitive campaign. However, there are complications to consider. Squad regulations may require Al Nassr to offload some foreign players to make room should Hancko arrive, and there are lingering questions about the future of high-profile names in the squad, including Cristiano Ronaldo. The financial terms on offer to Hancko are reportedly attractive, but uncertainty around squad composition could influence his decision.

Despite the clear interest from Al Nassr, Hancko has noted that he is not currently aware of concrete moves from European clubs. Feyenoord's negotiating stance is bolstered by both his contract length and continued importance to the first team. In recent months, his name has also been linked with Everton, Chelsea, West Ham, Juventus and Atletico Madrid, but at this stage none of those clubs are reported to be making active bids.

Fan reactions to the rumours have been mixed, with many following the story closely as Hancko's future remains unresolved. As the transfer window progresses, all eyes will be on whether Al Nassr will bridge the remaining gap in their offer or if Feyenoord will hold firm, banking on other suitors from Europe to eventually enter the frame.
