According to Le Berry Républican, Sadio Mané (31) will visit Bourges Foot 18 this weekend, a trip that has been rescheduled several times since the Senegalese international became the majority shareholder of the Championnat National 2 side in October.
Despite these postponements, it’s expected that Mané will finally watch over his team this Saturday as they take on Blois Football in the French fourth division, before being received in the town hall.
Mané and the current president Cheikh Sylla first made contact three years ago as they negotiated a deal that would see the Senegalese international become the new owner. His first statements in this position will be keenly anticipated by a club that has struggled this season.
Bourges finds itself locked into a relegation battle, and the striker who currently plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr has already had to dip into his funds to help the club try and stay afloat.
