Al Nasr (Dubai) moves for Olivier Ntcham
Olivier Ntcham, currently under contract with Samsunspor in Turkey, has attracted concrete interest from the Emirati club Al Nasr SC, based in Dubai. The club has already made an initial bid for the Cameroon international.
Sources report that Al Nasr SC has officially submitted an offer of €3 million to secure the services of the former Marseille and Celtic midfielder. It’s a serious proposal, but one deemed insufficient by the Samsunspor management. The club, promoted to the Turkish Süper Lig in 2023 and based in Samsun, does not want to let go of one of its most experienced midfielders for just any price. Samsunspor is said to be demanding €4 million to open the door to a transfer—a figure seen as reasonable given the player’s profile, with his contract running until 2026.
Olivier Ntcham brings an impressive pedigree. Having come through Manchester City, he went on to make a name for himself at Celtic Glasgow and then Olympique de Marseille before moving to Turkey in 2023. His versatility in midfield—able to play as a box-to-box or holding midfielder—has caught the eye of many clubs, especially in emerging leagues like the UAE.
For Al Nasr, this transfer would be a major coup in the summer market, especially as Gulf clubs look to bolster their squads with experienced talent. The question remains whether the Dubai side will meet the Turkish club’s financial demands. As for Olivier Ntcham, he is reportedly open to the idea of a new challenge in a more exotic league, with the prospect of a lucrative contract on the table.
