Al-Ittihad will make bids to bring Mohamed Salah and Son Heung-min to the Saudi Pro League this summer.

The Saudi side are keen to bring in more high-profile recruits and failed with an approach to sign Liverpool forward Salah in last summer’s window.

Al-Ittihad saw a bid of around £150m turned down for the Egypt international, who has since scored 15 goals and laid on nine assists in the Premier League this season.

Salah, who will enter the final 12 months of his contract at Liverpool at the end of the season, remains a leading target for Al-Ittihad, who are keen to strengthen their forward line.

Karim Benzema has failed to settle in the Middle East and has been linked with an exit, with Football Transfers reporting that both Salah and Tottenham captain Son are on the club’s wish list.

Son is Spurs’ leading scorer and was handed the captain’s armband by Ange Postecoglou this season, following the exits of Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane.

However, the South Korean is yet to win a major trophy in his club career and could ‘assess his future’ should the north Londoners miss out on Champions League qualification.

Son has scored 157 goals in 393 appearances since signing for Spurs, with only five players having ever netted more goals for the club.

He became the first Asian footballer to score a century of Premier League goals and would be considered a coup for the Saudi Pro League should a move materialise.
