Neymar reportedly earned some rest while the rest of Al-Hilal’s squad travelled to Prince Abdul Aziz bin Musa’ed Stadium, but his talents were not needed as Jorge Jesus’ side got the job done.

Al-Jabalain managed to keep the visitors quiet despite facing a staggering 19 shots to one but the pressure was eventually too much after an hour.

The winning goal finally arrived through another big-name summer signing for Al-Hilal.

After some pinball in the box, the ball fell to Portugal international Ruben Neves, who had enough time to take a touch and strike from outside the box for 1-0.

In addition to the win, Al-Hilal are also in the headlines due to Neymar’s reported clash with his manager.

After the Asian Champions League match against Navbahor Namangan Jesus reportedly criticised Neymar’s bad attitude leading to the player requesting the manager be sacked.

However, the former PSG player shut down those reports on Monday, posting an Instagram comment saying that the reports are “lies.”
