Our colleagues at Sports Zone report that representatives for Saudi Arabian 1st division side Al-Hilal have informed Serbian international and Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savić that they intend to sign his compatriot and Fulham centre-forward Aleksandar Mitrović.
The 28-year-old midfielder is on the verge of concluding a move to Al-Hilal after the Saudi outfit had a €40m bid accepted by Serie A outfit and 2023/24 Champions’ League participants, Lazio.
Al-Hilal, who have already signed Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea and Ruben Neves from Wolves, told the midfielder that they intend to reunite him with his Serbia national team colleague Mitrović this summer. Talks over the possible deal will begin either tomorrow or Friday. The Saudi outfit will try their best to convince Mitrović, who has yet to have concrete discussions with the Saudi side.
In the meantime, Al-Hilal continue to rival PSG with an attempt to sign Portuguese international Bernardo Silva from Manchester City.
