Saudi Arabian big spenders Al-Hilal are said to have made a new offer for Chelsea’s want-away striker Romelu Lukaku.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Tuttomercatoweb) reported this morning that the club have offered the Belgian striker a contract that would see him earn an eye-watering €50million a year, whilst also offering Chelsea a fee in the region of the same amount to secure his services.
Lukaku, who spent last term on loan at Inter, is said to favour a move that allows him to stay in Europe but it appears that he may run out of options.
Inter are said to have completely shut the door on a return following the news that he allegedly entered negotiations with their heated rivals Juventus prior to the Champions League final and even a move to the Bianconieri is entirely dependent on the future of Old Lady striker Dusan Vlahovic.
New Chelsea boss Mauricio Pocchetino views Lukaku to be surplus to requirements at the bridge so whether it is in Italy or in Saudi Arabia, Lukaku will no doubt be plying his trade away from Stamford Bridge come the end of the window.
