With reports emerging yesterday that the Brazilian forward had announced his intention to leave, the prospect of Neymar moving on from Paris Saint-Germain before the end of the summer is looking increasingly likely.
With the Ligue 1 champions open to selling, Chelsea are said to be in ongoing talks over a move. The 31-year-old’s wish of returning to Barcelona six years after leaving appears unlikely to materialise, given he does not fit in Xavi’s plans for the Blaugrana.
Another potential option has now emerged in Saudi Arabia’s club Al-Hilal, one of the club’s owned by the country’s sovereign wealth fund. Having already attempted to sign Lionel Messi earlier this summer, before seeing Kylian Mbappé reject their approach, the club have now set their sights on another PSG star in Neymar.
According to Foot Mercato this afternoon, the Gulf state outfit are looking to send out a delegation in order to meet with the Brazilian international’s father over a potential transfer. The forward, who has just recovered from reconstructive ankle ligament surgery, is under contract in the French capital for another four years.
