Inter, Napoli, Lazio, and Fiorentina, have vied for the the Supercoppa in Saudi Arabia.

This is the second season in a row in which the Supercoppa has taken place in the country.

Last January, Inter beat city rivals AC Milan in Riyadh. And this season, the competition has once again taken place in Saudi Arabia, as part of a multi-year agreement.

Moreover, the format of the Supercoppa has expanded.

There have been two semifinal matches and then a final. This mini-tournament follows the same format as the Spanish Super Cup, which is also held in Saudi Arabia.

This season, the Supercoppa is being held in Riyadh. All three matches have been taking place at Al-Awwal Park.

Inter & Napoli Supercoppa Final Nearly Sold Out

Al-Awwal Park did not fill up with fans for the first of two semifinals, between Napoli and Fiorentina.

This led to some worries regarding the objective of the competition to raise the profile and popularity of Serie A teams and Italian football in the Middle East.

Reports suggested that the absence of big teams like AC Milan and Juventus diminished the interest in the competition.

However, Inter’s match against Lazio changed the sense of things somewhat.

The Nerazzurri and the Biancocelesti played in front of more than 20,000 fans.

This did not see Al-Awwal Park fill up to its full capacity, which is around 25,000.

But it was a significant increase from the less than 10,000 fans that had attended the prior semifinal.

And as far as tomorrow evening’s match, TMW report, Inter and Napoli will play in front of a full house or very close to it.
