After having almost finalized the signing of the goalkeeper Joan Garcia, FC Barcelona are also keen to strengthen their attack in this summer transfer window by signing a left winger.

For this purpose, the Blaugranes are yet to make a final decision on the candidate they want to bet on, but for now, the list is limited to three players, i.e., Nico Williams, Luis Diaz, and Marcus Rashford.

However, getting any of these players would require a significant investment from the Catalan club, and thus, before undertaking a decisive operation for any of them, they will first have to ensure a notable sale from their current ranks.

Fermin Lopez has an offer from Al-Ahli

This sale operation is not going to be easy, as Barcelona are looking to get a significant amount for a player who is not an essential part of their plans going forward, and a player who is also willing to leave the club.

In this context, SPORT reports that one of the options that Barcelona see as viable for a departure is the attacking midfielder Fermin Lopez, who also has an offer from the Saudi side Al-Ahli on the table, with very appealing economic terms for the midfielder.

Barcelona will allow him to leave

The Blaugranes would be open to letting him go, but it must be Fermin who takes the initiative and formally asks to leave. So far, €50 million-rated midfielder hasn’t taken that step, and it’s uncertain whether he will.

While Fermin hasn’t been a regular starter, he has played many minutes under Hansi Flick, so his priority remains staying and fighting for a place, even if he knows it won’t be easy.

Barcelona have already done business with Al-Ahly, when they sold Franck Kessie to them back in 2023. Meanwhile, Chelsea is another side that is interested in the midfielder. Although they have not yet made an official offer for him, the Blaugranes believe this offer will come soon.

If Fermin Lopez ultimately does not assent to a departure, the Catalans will turn their sights to the defender Ronald Araujo, whose release clause is set to reduce to €60 million from 1st to 15th July.

However, the Uruguayan defender is also not keen to leave either and it remains to been if a sale of a high level player to fund the left winger signing takes place or not.
