Ajax's performance against RKC Waalwijk leaves Dušan Tadić unimpressed

A Dušan Tadić penalty in the 90th minute saw Ajax beat RKC Waalwijk 3-2 on Sunday evening in Amsterdam.

After the match, the captain didn’t shy away from criticising the home team’s performance which he deemed not up to par.

“The first half was good, but conceding two goals in eight minutes should not happen to us,” he said.

“We need to communicate better with each other at the back. The organization was not good with the goals against.

“Sometimes we just have to win this way [with a penalty].

“It’s not the Ajax way, because we have to play better.”

Surviving the scare means Ajax remain two points above second-place PSV Eindhoven.
