Ajax continued their pre-season preparations with a comprehensive win over Shakhtar Donetsk.

Mohammed Kudus put the hosts ahead early in the first half at De Toekomst by wrongfooting Dmytro Riznyk from the penalty spot.

A second followed shortly after the half-hour mark as Kudus teed up Steven Bergwijn to drill home a second for Maurice Steijn’s side.

The pair combined again just two minutes later when Bergwijn released Kudus with a through ball before he fired a low finish.

Ajax face Anderlecht on Saturday before travelling to Augsburg and rounding off their summer schedule at home to Borussia Dortmund.
