​Ajax star Tadic: Bigger chance to beat Liverpool than Tottenham | OneFootball

Ajax star Dusan Tadic believes his team had a huge opportunity to win the UEFA Champions League two seasons ago.

The Dutch side were cruelly put out in the semi finals by Tottenham after a late, late Lucas Moura goal.

Liverpool won that season's competition, beating Spurs in the final 2-0.

But Tadic thinks Ajax would have caused the Reds a lot more problems than Spurs did in the final.

"It would have been nice to play against [Liverpool] in the [2019 Champions League] final," Tadic told reporters ahead of their group stage game with Liverpool on Wednesday.

"It is difficult to play against them (but) a larger chance than Tottenham for sure.

"I played against Liverpool too often, it was always difficult.

"They put on a lot of pressure with fast football, they are a big team but it will be a great game to play."
