Francesco Farioli's first game in charge of Ajax ended with his side on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline against fellow Eredivisie outfit PEC Zwolle.
The two sides took to the field in a friendly, though Farioli had to make do without those who had taken part at EURO 2024.

And though the new coach saw his side dominate possession and rack up a massive 20 efforts on goal, they fell to a 1-0 loss as a first half goal from Anthony Fontana ultimately proved the difference between the two teams.
