Departing Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez is being linked with a sensational return to Ajax.

Eleven years after leaving the Dutch giants for Liverpool, Suarez is in talks about a shock return, says TMW.

River Plate coach Marcelo Gallardo has confirmed they're in talks to sign the Uruguay international.

However, Ajax have also made contact this week with the hope of bringing back Suarez for the new season.

And in Ajax's favour is that in a World Cup year, Suarez favours remaining in Europe in order to prepare for the Qatar tournament.
