Ajax are reportedly leading the race to sign Chelsea wonderkid Mason Mount this summer.
Mount has enjoyed a stunning first season in senior football on-loan at Vitesse Arnhem and Chelsea are even considering in their first team plans next season.
According to the Daily Mail, Werder Bremen, PSV and Sporting Lisbon are also keen on securing a permanent deal for the 19-year-old.
Mount was voted as Vitesse Supporters’ Player of the Year – the third Chelsea loanee to collect this award after Christian Atsu (2013-14) and Slobodan Rajković (2010-11).
Young players breaking through at Stamford Bridge has often been a problem, and similar doubts remain over the likes of Tammy Abraham, Nathan Baker and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
However, the Mail report that ‘sources close to the club’ rate the teenager and have earmarked him as a potential star for the future.
