Ajax are interested in FK Krasnodar midfielder Eduard Spertsyan, according to Voetbal International. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder featured 40 times last season for the Russian Premier Liga side that finished in sixth place. Spertsyan scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists in all competitions.
Spertsyan would become Ajax’s second summer signing after Branco van den Boomen, who joined from Toulouse last month. It’s reported that the 15-time Armenian international would cost Ajax approximately €9m.
The midfielder, who can also play on the left and right wing, is still in contract at Krasnodar until mid-2026. Last winter Spertsyan was linked with a move to PSV as a possible successor to Cody Gakpo, who left for Liverpool. Now Ajax are showing the most interest in the Armenian.
Eduard Spertsyan is an incredibly skillful player with an eye for goal. The youngster isn’t afraid to shoot from range and he’s also capable of effortlessly weaving through an oppositions defence before finding the back of the net or setting up teammates. He could be a superb addition to Ajax and the Eredivisie.
