A number of European heavyweights have been linked with a move for Brenner recently, with Arsenal, Juventus and Milan believed to have registered an interest.

However, it appears that Ajax have jumped to the front of the queue with Brenner reported to have a €50m release clause for European clubs.

His contract expires in 2022 and he could join compatriots David Neres and Antony in Amsterdam.
