While he was linked to a Tottenham move earlier in the window, with a fee of €4-6m believed to be enough to secure his services, it appears that Ajax will hold onto their young starlet, Danilo Pereira.

The forward, who still has two years remaining on his current deal, broke into the Ajax first-team last season and made three appearances, scoring in the Europa League round-of-32.

Now, Tubantia reports that both the player and his agent have headed to De Grolsch Veste in order to seal a 12-month loan deal with FC Twente.

Last week, Ajax sent young centre-back Kik Pierie to Twente on a one-year loan spell.

In his stunning career with Jong Ajax, Danilo has scored 24 goals in just 42 Keuken Kampioen Divisie contests.
