Ajax’s shortlist of possible goalkeeper signings in the January transfer window continue to grow with Croatia’s Dominik Livakovic now thought to be on the minds of the Eredivisie side, Voetbalkrant reports.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper is currently playing for Dinamo Zagreb but the Croatian number one has been linked with a move away with the Dutch champions thought to be one of the clubs thought to be chasing for his signature in January.

He pulled off a number of brilliant performances during the 2022 FIFA World Cup including knocking out early tournament favourites Brazil in the quarter-finals before picking up a third-place medal after seeing off Morocco in Qatar too.

Livakovic is not the only goalkeeper linked with a possible move to the Johan Cruyff Stadium with German Alexander Nübel and Dutch number one Andries Noppert names popping up in the January transfer rumour mill.

Heerenveen’s Noppert was given a huge vote of confidence from Netherlands head coach Louis van Gaal during the World Cup in Qatar which paid off. The former Go Ahead Eagles player impressed for Oranje before they were eliminated from the competition by eventual winners Argentina.

Meanwhile, Alfred Schreuder’s side is thought to be monitoring the situation with Nübel too. The former Germany U21 international is enjoying a two-year loan spell at AS Monaco at the moment but it is thought parent club Bayern Munich are looking at recalling him in the January transfer window now that Manuel Neuer is ruled out for the rest of the season with a broken leg.
