Ajax have announced that playmaker Lucas Ocampos has returned to Sevilla after his loan deal was brought to an early end.
He joined on deadline day last summer on a season-long loan from the Andalusian side which included an option to make the move permanent.

But even that deal wasn’t without controversy as the Ajax board initially approved the move before going back on it and then ultimately opting to push through with the signing.
Ocampos struggled to make any kind of impact on new coach Alfred Schreuder’s plans for the side.
He appeared in just six games and managed to accumulate just 119 minutes of football throughout his short spell in Amsterdam.
