On Monday evening, Inter travel to Rome to take on Lazio in Serie A.

That match promises to be a huge occasion, with big potential implications for the title race.

Not only for the Nerazzurri and the Biancocelesti either. The likes of Atalanta, Napoli, and Fiorentina will certainly be keeping a close eye on proceedings.

Lazio have undeniably cemented themselves among the contenders for the title.

The capital club had one of their biggest stumbles of the season earlier this month when they lost to Parma unexpectedly. But they recovered from it in perfect style with an away win over Napoli.

Meanwhile, in the Europa League Lazio are currently top of the table.

Marco Baroni’s team put an exclamation point on what’s already been a very impressive campaign in Europe’s secondary knockout competition with a victory over Dutch giants Ajax yesterday.

Ajax Coach Francesco Farioli Warns Inter: “Lazio Having A Magical Moment Right Now”

After yesterday’s match, Ajax coach Farioli reflected on his team’s disappointing defeat at home.

“Lazio are a team with great confidence,” the Italian coach said. “And great quality and organization.”

“They’re having a magical moment,” Farioli said of Lazio.

“Everything is going well for them. Every player fights to get the best result.”

“Congratulations to them,” Farioli said of the Biancocelesti. “They’re representing Italian football at its best around Europe.”

“We’ve watched a lot of Lazio matches,” Farioli then said.

“Perhaps this is the one where they suffered the most. However, the guys put in a solid performance, dominating the match with and without the ball.”
