Ajax appoint new director of football | OneFootball

Ajax have confirmed the arrival of Marijn Beuker as their new director of football.

The Eredivisie giants have been searching for a new appointment for the role after the departure of Sven Mislintat in September and that search has led them to the 39-year-old.

Beuker moves to Amsterdam after holding a similar role at Scottish Championship side Queen’s Park and has put pen to paper on a deal until July 2028.

Speaking to the club’s official website, General Manager Jan van Halst offered some insight on the deal: “The original role of technical director will be divided into two positions.

“Besides Marijn, the club will hire someone else who will be primarily responsible for transfers and for managing the technical staff of both Jong Ajax and Ajax 1.”

Ajax are currently sat in eighth position in the Eredivisie table, 21 points behind leaders PSV.
