Ajax and AZ tracking FC Volendam wonderkid Micky van de Ven | OneFootball

18-year-old Micky van de Ven was promoted to the FC Volendam first-team this season and has been an absolute hit for the Dutch second-tier side.

His impressive displays have made him one of Volendam’s key players and some of the Netherlands’ top sides have taken notice.

According to Voetbal International, both Ajax and AZ have been tracking the centre-back along with several other foreign clubs from England and Germany.

The Dutch outlet goes so far as to say that both van de Ven and NAC Breda centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke are ‘without a doubt’ the two biggest talents that the Keuken Kampioen Divisie has to offer.

The Volendam star began the season with the club’s U-19 side before heading to their U-21s. After six matches he was called up, starting immediately, and has yet to relinquish his starting role.
