The Italian Milan Club Association (AIMC) have announced that during today’s game against Udinese their banners will be displayed upside down, which is a sign of protest.

As relayed by MilanNews, the associated have communicated on the morning of the match at San Siro that the banner will be flipped in order to make it clear that they are not happy with how the club’s leadership are handling things at the moment. The statement is below:

“This choice is dictated by the latest, hasty and incomprehensible decisions from the club in the face of which we want, however, to make our presence and closeness to the team felt.

“We do not understand and the logic of this behaviour by the club escapes us by virtue of a partnership that has been built and consolidated over time but which above all is founded on mutual and effective collaboration, on constant dialogue and comparison, principles in which we have always believed and which suddenly seem to be lacking.

“We continue to believe that SHARING is the best solution to address the indisputable critical issues of the moment and we renew our availability to AC Milan to FIND TOGETHER the best way to safeguard the aims and purposes of the Milan clubs, but above all to guarantee the continuity of the presence of their members in the stands.”

While they have not gone into too many specifics, it appears as though the AIMC are unhappy at the lack of communication from the club when it comes to key issues that effect fans. For example, there has been some social media outrage at the ticket prices for the Juventus home game next month.

It is a period in which Milan are under a lot of scrutiny regarding a lack of clarity, with figures such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic criticised for not being present in the face of difficulties too.
