América clinched their place in the Liguilla last week and will face winless Veracruz in their final match of the season. Despite having a pair of their better players out of training, the situation could be a lot worse for the club.
Agustín Marchesín and Roger Martínez were absent from training for alleged physical discomfort.
The azulcrema goalkeeper has an injured right thigh, while the Colombian took it easy to allow his muscles to recover.
Nico Castillo worked out separately, did not finish the training session, and did extra work in the gym. The Chilean is coming back from a muscle injury that had him out for a few games.
América could finish anywhere between fourth and eighth as they prepare to defend their Liga MX title.
