The agent of soon-to-be Tottenham Hotspur star Radu Drăgușin has today provided an insight into his client’s desire to one day take his talents to Spain.
The name of defender Drăgușin has of course taken its place front and centre in the European media headlines over the week to date.
This comes after a tug-of-war broke out for his services, between all of Bayern Munich, Napoli, Milan, and the aforementioned Tottenham.
In the end, it was the latter who emerged triumphant, owing to a deal worth a fee in the region of €30 million.
Drăgușin, in turn, is expected to put pen to paper on terms in north London ahead of Spurs’ weekend showdown with Manchester United.
And yet, with his signing not yet even official, those of a Lilywhites persuasion are already being forced to face up to the prospect of their latest addition taking his talents elsewhere.
This comes after the Romanian international’s agent publicly talked up a potential future move to one of Real Madrid, or Barcelona.
Speaking in an interview with Digi Sport earlier today, Florin Manea admitted:
“We are only at the beginning of the road, we want him to reach the best teams in the world.
“We were close, Bayern are among the biggest clubs, but his dream is Real or Barcelona.
“If he was 23 or 24 years old and had more experience, maybe he would have decided to go to Bayern, but we took many things into account; his age and the competition.”
Asked outright which club he envisions Drăgușin featuring for later in his career, Manea went on to add: “In three or four years I see him at Real Madrid.”
