The agent of Fiorentina’s Alessandro Bianco has spoken out, after his client was punched by a Sivasspor fan during La Viola’s UEFA Conference League win over the Turkish side.
Fiorentina progressed into the quarter-finals of the Conference League after their 4-1 win yesterday but during celebrations of one of the goals, a Sivasspor fan ended up punching Bianco. The midfielder later posted a photo on Instagram and it had him showing off a potentially broken nose and saying: “Not bad”
Bianco’s agent Giuseppe Galli recently spoke to Radio FirenzeViola recently and he gave his thoughts about what happened and how the player’s lawyers will react to what happened.
“These things happening in 2023 is shameful. Unfortunately this time, Alessandro paid for the consequences. Let’s hope that the injury is not more serious than expected. Knowing the boy he is serene, but he took a punch.”
Galli spoke about how the situation is going to be dealt with from a legal standpoint, he stated: “I know that UEFA already have everything under control, then we’ll put the lawyers in the middle. I’ll be in Florence tonight, I’ll meet with the boy and we’ll decide what to do.”
Galli also stated that incidents like these don’t put the competition in a positive light, saying: “They are competitions that everyone thinks are minor, but winning a European trophy is always important. I think Fiorentina have what it takes to go all the way, then football is made up of episodes.”
