Liverpool are reportedly among the clubs capable of affording Erling Haaland if and when it comes to the striker moving in the future.

The Norwegian forward is looking destined to be one of Europe’s best players over the coming 10 years and naturally any club would like to have him and his talent.

It’s Borussia Dortmund who currently possesses him, of course, but whether they are able to keep him or not remains to be seen.

Indeed, there appears to be considerable interest in him at the moment and, according to his agent Mino Raiola, via transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are interested and can afford a deal to bring him in.

Romano wrote for BenchWarmers:

“His agent Mino Raiola has confirmed that there are ten top clubs that can buy him, but this summer the €75 million release clause will not be valid: [anyone] who wants Haaland will have to negotiate with Borussia Dortmund, they will not want to discount anyone.

“The clubs Raiola spoke of are Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, PSG and Bayern Munich, as well as Borussia.”

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

With 25 goals in the league and Champions League this season Haaland is once again having a devastating campaign in front of goal.

It’s only natural that the top clubs on the continent are looking at him, then, but with the current financial situation going on is Raiola actually accurate with his claims?

It’d be nice to get him, but given the agent’s record we’ll perhaps wait and see before counting our chickens here.
