Bakayoko was one of the Blues marquee signings last summer after he impressed in a Monaco side that went all the way to the Champions League semi-finals.
In his first season with the west London outfit though, the France international struggled to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League and was allowed to leave on loan during the last window by new coach Maurizio Sarri.
Serie A has been equally unkind to the midfielder, with Gennaro Gattuso only using the 24-year-old for 82 minutes so far.
Reports over the weekend in the Italian press claimed that Bakayoko had just six games to prove himself to the coach or risked being sent back to his parent side in January.
But those claims have been denied by his representative.
“It was known he would need a bit of time, but everyone is convinced he can contribute a lot to their season,” Federico Pastorello told Calcio Mercato.
“All this chatter about a return to Chelsea in January is completely unfounded.”
Bakayoko will be hoping for his first start when the Rossoneri take on their city rivals Inter in the derby on Sunday.
