Paris FC continues its pursuit of African reinforcements. Following the arrival of Simon Moses, the capital club has now set its sights on Karim Konaté, currently playing for Red Bull Salzburg, to strengthen its attacking lineup.
Recently promoted to Ligue 1 and backed by new majority shareholders, the Arnault family, Paris FC isn't stopping with Moses Simon and Nhoa Sangui. The Parisian side has now targeted Karim Konaté, a 21-year-old gem with immense potential. Developed at ASEC Mimosas, he broke out in Austria with Salzburg, especially during the 2023/2024 campaign, where he netted 20 goals in 29 Bundesliga appearances.
Despite a challenging 2024/25 season marred by physical setbacks, the Ivorian striker still commands strong market value. Paris FC is intrigued by his profile to build a robust attack capable of competing at the top level in France. Signing a player who has yet to return to full fitness after a serious injury is undoubtedly a bold move. However, thanks to the Paris FC–Salzburg alliance under the Red Bull umbrella, the deal could take the form of a loan with an option to buy or a permanent transfer.
