Who will be the new Bayern coach? After the recent cancellation of Ralf Rangnick, nobody in Munich can give a serious answer to this question at the moment. According to the latest reports, Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeneß is once again in Bayern’s sights.
Everything to zero is the motto at FC Bayern with regard to the search for a coach. The cancellation of Ralf Rangnick is a bitter setback for Munich. After Xabi Alonso and Julian Nagelsmann, the 65-year-old is already the third candidate to have been rejected by the record champions in recent weeks.
The list of suitable names is getting shorter and shorter. According to the latest reports, Sebastian Hoeneß from VfB Stuttgart is once again a hot topic at Säbener Straße following the Rangnick disaster.
Despite recently extending his contract with VfB until 2027, the nephew of honorary president Uli Hoeneß could once again be a hot topic in Munich. As the portal Sports Zone reports, the 41-year-old is once again the focus of Bayern’s attention following Rangnick’s cancellation. According to information from Sky, Hoeneß was already being discussed among those responsible at Bayern after the Nagelsmann transfer. It is also interesting to note that his contract is said to contain an exit clause.
Dieter Hoeneß, a former international and experienced Bundesliga manager, recently made corresponding comments about the terms of his son’s contract: „With a coach, it has to be the case that he also has the option of terminating an employment relationship if certain parameters are not right,“ Hoeneß explained in an interview with Sky.
The problem: Hoeneß himself does not appear to be willing to leave Stuttgart in the summer: „You can be absolutely certain that I will also be coach of VfB Stuttgart next year. If I had had the idea of changing, I would certainly not have extended my contract,“ he announced at the end of April.
From 2017 to 2019, he coached the U19s of the German record champions, and from 2019 to 2020 the second team, with whom he won the championship title in the third division.
