A somewhat forgotten member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is inching towards a fresh departure from the club.
The player in question? Juanmi Latasa.
Frontman Latasa, for his part, is fresh off a 2nd successive loan spell away from the club.
After linking up with Getafe for the 2022/23 campaign, the Spaniard rejoined the Azulones for another 12 months last summer.
And he went on to play an altogether more prominent role at the Estadio Coliseum, notching 32 La Liga appearances, and a pair of goals.
The Getafe brass, when all was said and done, opted against making Latasa’s signing a permanent one, with the 23-year-old having since linked back up with Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid squad at Valdebebas as a result.
If the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, however, then his stay back in Spain’s capital looks unlikely to last long.
As per a report from Relevo, a number of clubs from across the La Liga landscape are expressing a keen interest in bringing Latasa in this summer.
Espanyol are one such suitor, but it is Real Valladolid, it is claimed, who are leading the race for the attacker’s services:
‘Valladolid are looking for a forward with the qualities of Juanmi Latasa. Tall, strong and with good aerial play. Latasa, left-footed and with considerable height, meets the requirements of the Valladolid sports management. Real Madrid and Valladolid could get closer (to a deal) in the coming days.’
