Miguel Herrera slammed El Tri for returning goalkeeper Memo Ochoa injured after the long-time veteran was a late scratch for their Cruz Azul clash over the weekend.

The legendary netminder will miss four-to-six weeks after being diagnosed with a ‘muscle injury of the flexor longus of the first big toe’.

With that in mind and many other injuries in the team, América are now being strict with who they will allow to leave on Mexico’s European tour to face the Netherlands after they host Guatemala.

Jorge Sánchez and Sebastián Córdova will not be loaned by América, while Henry Martín will head off as the club have plenty of cover for the striker.

América, of course, will host Pumas this weekend in their third straight Clásico.
