Since replacing head coach Roberto Martinez last year, Domenico Tedesco is yet to taste defeat as head coach of the Red Devils. The former Schalke 04 head coach has drawn just three of his 12 games so far, with the rest being wins. However, on Friday night the sides 0-0 draw with Ireland did draw some criticism for their lack of creativity and finishing. The Red Devils had 64% of the ball but could only manage two shots on target. Without Kevin de Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku, many will begin to wonder if there is enough talent outside of these two for the side to have an outside chance of Euro’s glory come the summer.

The side were also indebted to Matz Sels, who saved a penalty to keep the scores level. The 32-year-old Nottingham Forest goalkeeper is looking to establish himself as the sides first choice, with Thibaut Courtois out injured and in conflict with Tedesco.

Next up for Belgium is a trip to Wembley to face England, who lost their first home game for a while against Brazil. Many will be hoping for a few more goals and more excitement when the sides face off for the first time in almost four years. This will be the first time this generation of Red Devils are facing England since the retirement of most of the golden generation. Last time out Belgium beat England 2-0 in the Nations League, although during the clash at Wembley goals from Marcus Rashford and Mason Mount gave England a 2-1 win.
