Afimico Pululu ready to change clubs
Highly impressive in the colors of Jagiellonia Białystok, Afimico Pululu has hinted that he might consider leaving this summer.
In an interview with Polsat Sport, the Congolese striker was asked about the possibility of transferring to another Ekstraklasa club. His answer was unequivocal:
Certainly not to Legia.
A strong statement, fueled in particular by resentment over Jagiellonia’s controversial elimination in the Polish Cup quarterfinals at the hands of the Warsaw club. However, Afimico Pululu is not closing the door to another major name in the league:
Maybe I could play for Lech. If there were to be another club besides Jaga in Poland, it would be Lech.
This statement comes at just the right time, as Lech Poznań is currently searching for a successor to Mikael Ishak. The club has already dipped into Białystok this summer, signing defender Mateusz Skrzypczak for 900,000 euros.
But for Pululu, it will be a different story. Jagiellonia, well aware of the value of its 26-year-old striker, is demanding several million euros for his release, even though he has only one year left on his contract.
But for Pululu, it will be a different story. Jagiellonia, fully aware of the value of their 26-year-old goal scorer, expects several million euros to let him go, even though he has just one year left on his contract. Will Lech, who has never gone above 1.7 million euros (invested in Patrik Walemark), dare to take the plunge to lure Pululu? That remains to be seen.
