The African Cup of Nations saw a significant upset on Sunday, with Nigeria losing in the round of 16 to Tunisia.

Despite going into the game as favourites, Nigeria failed to live up to their potential, losing the contest 1-0.

Youssef Msakni got the only goal of the game in the 47th minute, scoring a long-range strike past goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.

Nigeria's woes were made worse when Alex Iwobi got a red card following A VAR review.

The three-time African champions were unable to muster a fight-back in the game, and bowed out of the competition.
