AFCON: Egypt and Salah reach knockout stage with win over Sudan

Mohamed Salah and Egypt are through to the knockout stages of the African Cup of Nations.

Egypt had to work hard to earn a win against Sudan in their final group game.

But a goal from Mohamed Abdelmonem in the first-half ensured the Pharaohs are into the latter stages.

Egypt finished behind Nigeria in their group after struggling for most of their three matches.

The Pharoahs did dominate this game against Sudan, but were unable to make the most of their opportunities in the final third of the field.
