AFCON: Choupo-Moting's Cameroon top group

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Cameroon drew 1-1 with Cape Verde at the Africa Cup of Nations on Monday evening, meaning the hosts have finished top of their group on seven points and progressed to the knockout stage. The Indomitable Lions now have a whole week to prepare for their next match, where they will play one of the best third-placed teams from one of the other groups in the tast 16, taking place on 24 January.

Choupo-Moting off the bench

Bayern striker Choupo-Moting came off the bench for the hosts in the 69th minute at 1-1. Vincent Aboubakar (39') had given Cameroon the lead before Garry Rodrigues (53') equalised for Cape Verde.
