Bangladeshi side Basundhara Kings go top of Group D in the AFC Cup with a 2-1 win against I-League champions Gokulam Kerala at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Tuesday.

Robinho (36') scored one and turned provider for Nuha Marong (54'). The south-Indian side did pull one back with the help of Jourdaine Fletcher (75'), however, it wasn't enough thanks to the Kings' goalkeeper Anisur Rahman, who made a few crucial saves for the Kings in either half.

The Kings started their campaign with a 1-0 win over Maziya before being romped 4-0 by Indian Super League side ATK Mohun Bagan before coming into this game.

They now have six points in three games while Gokulam Kerala end their campaign last on three points.

The Kings will have to wait for the last group game between ATK Mohun Bagan and Maziya later tonight to see if they qualify for the zonal semifinals or no.

A win for ATK Mohun Bagan will see them through at the expense of the Kings based on their head-to-head record, whereas any other result will see the Kings qualify ahead of the Kolkata based side.
