Artur Boruc was a Bournemouth regular, appearing in over 100 games for the side during a six-year stint with the club.

Often a rock in-between the sticks for the Cherries, he was a regular for them during their time in the Premier League and helped them claim a number of scalps and key victories that ultimately helped them stay there for for the duration of his stint with the side.

However, at the age of 38 and with his career seemingly coming to its end, he decided to leave Bournemouth.

So what has he been up to ever since?

For starters, he’s still playing football at 41-years-old.

After leaving the Cherries, he decided to return to Legia Warsaw, a club he played for right at the start of his career.

He’s been a success there too, playing 25 times for the club last season as they bagged the league title. It was his first title with the Polish club and was his first league win since Bournemouth stormed to the Championship title back in the 2014/15 season.

After that victory, he has stayed on with the side and is once again featuring as a regular shot-stopper for the club.

This year so far he has played four times and although he is not their automatic first-choice in goal – the Polish outfit have rotated which goalkeeper they choose each week so far, having played Boruc, Cezary Miszta and Kacper Tobiasz four times a piece so far this year – he is still getting the action he wants.

He is proving then that age is just a number and that he can still do a top job in goal even in the latter stages of his career. He’ll be well remembered at Bournemouth for his part in their Championship win and Premier League stay and fans of the side will no doubt be happy to see he is still doing well in Poland.
