Adrien Rabiot set to arrive in Marseille on Monday | OneFootball

Olympique de Marseille confirmed on Sunday evening that they had reached an agreement in principle to sign free agent Adrien Rabiot (29). The completion of the move is pending a medical. L’Équipe have now revealed that a date has been set for that medical.

Rabiot has been a free agent since July after he refused to extend his deal with Juventus. However, whilst he did not manage to find a new club before the closure of the transfer window, or more crucially, before the date for submission of squad lists for the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Europa Conference League, he has now found a new project.

The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, who came through Les Parisiens’ academy, is set to join arch-rivals, reportedly on a two-year deal. L’Équipe now report that he is set to arrive in Marseille on Monday evening, ahead of a medical on Tuesday. The current plan is for him to train with his new OM teammates for the first time on Wednesday, a session which could be opened up to the public.
