PSG coach Thomas Tuchel has admitted Adrien Rabiot could leave the club in January.
The Frenchman has still not agreed a new deal with the French giants and will be a free agent in the summer.
Linked with Europe’s top clubs including Barcelona, Juventus and Manchester City, PSG may well decide to cash in on Rabiot and Tuchel has revealed his exit is a possibility.
“I cannot guarantee that Adrien (Rabiot) will finish the season with us because it is still the same thing. He did not say yes to PSG. And as a result of that, everything is possible,” he told reporters.
Looking light in central midfield as it is, PSG will certainly have to bolster that position should Rabiot leave with only Marco Verratti and Lassana Diarra, now 33, to call on.
“Like you say, it was necessary and important for me, for us, to sign a number 6 for our team this summer. Now we are in winter and it is the same thing. It depends on the situations of Adrien Rabiot and Lassana Diarra. Maybe we will need them now.”
On Monday, the Ligue 1 champions were drawn against Manchester United in the last 16 of the Champions League.
